The Sony Baseplate Spacer is used with the VCT or VCT Pro Baseplate (sold seperately) and Sony FS7, FS7, and FX9 II cameras to alleviate the gap between the camera and the baseplate caused by the camera's shoulder pad. To use, remove the camera's shoulder pad, screw the spacer into the camera and then screw the VCT into the bottom of the spacer.
